Words

I love this song. I feel like in life we don't use our words carefully, we tend to hurt the people we love the most. This song is so true.... words can build us up, words can tear us down, start a fire in our hearts or put it out. I am very thankful for words of encouragement I get in times when I need them most. I am beyond blessed for the people in my life that are there to lift me up. Romans 14:19 Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

I hope you enjoy this song by Hawk Nelson

~WOW~

Life sure does go by fast, it seems like just yesterday Joe and I were talking about getting married. Now it's reality in 20 days, I will be getting married to the love of my life and my best friend...Joe!  This has been a journey of preparing, waiting, learning (lots of learning), and seeking the Lord and what His will is and not our own. I continue to count every day a blessing, I am able to spend great time with my family, from playing and talking with the boys, to reading and painting nails with the girls (Ruth Ella and Mary Ann,) to wonderful laughs and deep conversations with Rebekah and Elizabeth. I am beyond blessed to be in such a wonderful loving family. I would like to say thank you for all your prayers and best wishes!

This is a picture from visiting Joe a few weeks ago! Their goats had kids(: I am holding Miles and Joe is holding Midnight.

Psalms 20:7 (NKJV)
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

Seasons

Pinned Image

(Pintrest)

Seasons come and seasons go, not only with the weather but in life. Sometimes we don't enjoy the seasons we are in, other times we are so happy and thankful for the season. As for me I am really enjoying the season that I am in! On December 19th my best friend (JOE) asked me to be his wife,  we are to become man and wife May 15th 2013. I'm excited about entering into this next season of being a wife. I am truly grateful for the example my parents made in their marriage during their many seasons of life. They always loved each other, putting the others needs above their own and they seek to put Christ first in all things. Joe and I  pray that we will glorify God in all things and put Him first. I would appreciate your prayers as Joe and I are planning and preparing for life together.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven;

Stuffed Mushrooms

If you know our family than you know how much we love food! We are always up for trying new things...well most of us that is :). It was now time for our family to ALL try mushrooms!!! There are only two family members who don't pick them off when we order the veggie pizza. Now the rest of us...hmm, I guess you could say we were scared of them :).

Yesterday I asked Mom to pick some up from the store while she was there. She did and I started my search  for some mushroom recipes. I came across this recipe Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms. If you click this link it takes you to a recipe video that shows you how to make these tasty stuffed mushrooms. The video has had over 1,900 reviews and nearly 95,000 saves, so I figured with it's credential it was surely worth trying, and it was!

So Rebekah's and my phalanges went to work. They were super easy to make. All but one of the little people in our family liked them! So if you are like us and haven't given mushrooms a try...they really aren't that bad. That is if you have them stuffed with all the good stuff... like cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and bread crumbs :).
Below are photos Rebekah took of our creation :).

Freedom

The below comment we received from a previous post.

...The government doesn't control access to information in the good old USA, land of the free and the brave. Thank goodness, it's just one of the many reasons we're all privileged to be Americans. I'm also mindful that we're all free to worship any God we choose, or not. Anonymous

“America truly is the greatest country in the world.
“Don’t let freedom slip away.
“After America, there is no place to go.” Kitty Werthmann

I recently read an article by Kitty Werthmann. It is a very fascinating account of freedom slowly taken away. Much like America.
She states in one part of the article; “Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long afterwards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.

After reading her article I was scanning through the comments of what some had to say about her article. Here is a comment written last September. ...And Obama isn't coming for your guns. Anonymous

The song below could also be titled "Remember When" because many things are now just memories.

3rd Verse ~
Every morning down at school
We stood up as a class
Put our hands on our hearts
 Pledged allegiance to the flag
Then we'd all bow our heads
And give thanks to the Lord
 You can't do that anymore

Chorus:
...For every line that's crossed something's lost
We may never find again
One more remember when~

3 in 1

Radio

Television

Computers

Cellphones!!! They hold it all! Some people wonder how the world ever went round with out them. I've heard people say they feel naked without their phone!

There are apps for just about anything you can think of. If you are at an event where they ask you to silence your phone, your still bound to hear one go off.

Just the other day my family and I went out for dinner. As we were waiting for our meal I noticed quite a number of families on their phones as they ate.
As Stephanie Tanner from Full house would say "how rude"!

I don't have a problem with technology, I'm simply saddened by the way it has taken over peoples lives.

Cellphones can become so addicting as they supposedly
make life so much easier. You don't have to worry about finding your Bible for Sunday morning worship because you have a Bible app! One thing people don't realize is that that
Bible app on their phone is really not on their phone.
It's in cyberspace. I was thinking the other day what if everyone got rid of their Bibles because they had them on their phones. Then one day the government says lets get rid of the Bible app. ?!

My 3 in 1 is God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit! I hope those are your 3 in 1 too! It's the 1 thing that makes life worth
living and the 1 and only thing that will last!

I'll leave you with a song that Barry McDonald (friend/music teacher) put together. Enjoy!

It's quite funny!

All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the spirits.

A Little Update

Hello Ya"ll! It has been a few weeks since we have blogged due to the Craziness of life. Sadly we cannot get our pictures to  load to blogger :(.So I guess I will just have to fill you in on what has been going on with words!

The first 2 weeks of this month we had half the family quarantined due to the nasty flu :(.
The little kids were dropping like flies (love their hearts!) Thankfully most of the older ones stayed well!

We have been working at the farm a lot this month and have gotten a bunch done. I have lots of pictures that I hope to share soon! It's so neat to see how much a lot of hands can get done! A few of the boys got poison oak when cleaning out brush:( poor guys! We thought it would have been dead because of the cold weather we have had. I guess poison oak is stronger than our south winter :).

The best news that we have to share is that our Mom is expecting baby #12!!! We Muncks are all on cloud nine. So much excitement in our home right :). So that's just a little bit of what we have been up to.

I hope everyone has had a great weekend!

Blessings,
Rebekah
